Call for Papers

New: Besides the Brain Products Best Poster Award and the GK Student Travel Awards there is a further award sponsored by the Cognitive Science Society for the Best Student Paper. The award includes a grant of 250 USD and a complimentary membership in the Cognitive Science Society for next year.

The 11th Biannual Meeting of the German Cognitive Science Society, KogWis'12, addresses all areas of interdisciplinary research in the Mind and Brain Sciences, including Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer-Interaction, Linguistics, and Philosophy of Mind. The main conference starts on October 1st and ends on October 3rd. There will be a separate call for contributions to the doctoral symposium which takes place on September 30th. Conference languages are English and German.

Contributions can be submitted for poster presentations, talks, or symposia. Abstracts for posters and talks should not exceed 2,500 characters (including spaces). Symposia that bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines to discuss a common issue are particularly welcome. Proposals for symposia should include a summary of the topic as well as a list of speakers and moderator. Abstracts for symposia should not exceed 6,000 characters (including spaces). Submissions in English are preferred, but submissions in German are accepted also. The deadline for submission of abstracts for talks, posters, and symposia is May 14, 2012. Decisions will be posted by June 9, 2012.
